Manchester United officially sacked Solskjaer on Sunday November 21, a day after the 1-4 Premier League defeat at Vicarage Road against Watford.
“Manchester United announces that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has resigned as manager,” the club said in a statement on its website.
“Ole will always be a legend at Manchester United. It is regrettable that we made this difficult decision. Although the results of the past few weeks have been disappointing. But nothing hides all the work over the past three years that lays the foundation for long-term success.”
“Ole has left with our heartfelt thanks for his commitment and tireless efforts as a manager. And we wish you success in the future.”
“He will always be in the history of the club. It’s not just a story as a player. But as a great person and a team manager. Who makes good memories many for us. He will be welcomed back to Old Trafford forever as part of the Manchester United family.”
“Now will take charge of the team in the upcoming games. The ufabet club will consider the appointment of an interim manager until the end of the season.”
Carrick will take charge of the next game in the group stage game five at Villarreal on Tuesday, followed by an intense Premier League game away to Chelsea on Tuesday November 28.
